About the initiative

Be Well @ Dal: Bag of Ideas

Dalhousie University is committed to fostering a campus community where every student, faculty member, and staff can thrive. The Be Well @ Dal initiative brings together voices from across the university to surface, organize, and act on ideas that contribute to our collective well-being.

This Bag of Ideas represents contributions gathered through consultations, surveys, and open submissions from departments across campus. It is a living collection — reviewed and updated regularly by the Be Well Campus Well-being Steering Group — and is intended as a practical resource for faculty, staff, and student groups looking to champion positive change in their areas.

Ideas are organized by well-being domain, reflecting the key pillars that contribute to a healthy and supportive university environment. Each domain contains sub-areas and thematic groupings to help you find ideas most relevant to your context. Whether you are a department head planning an initiative, a faculty representative preparing a proposal, or a student leader looking for inspiration, this site is for you.

If you have questions about the Be Well @ Dal initiative, would like to submit an idea for inclusion, or wish to join us in this effort, please reach out to our Steering Group via BeWell@dal.ca.
